My little sweet niece is coming into town to visit and she absolutely loves to play tea time. What little girl won’t dream of having afternoon tea with her auntie? I am getting prepared for her visit and thought I should bring out some tea sets for her arrival. As I was searching for ideas, I discovered some adorable cute tea settings that would work just perfectly.
It’s summer time. Why not enjoy the outdoors, right? I find it so romantic when a designer can bring the indoors outside. The kind of space that inspires love and romance. And, of course, a totally to die for chandelier is absolutely gorgeous!!! What a way to scream elegance. The fabric on the chairs and adding a settee is genius- it makes this look comfortable. Almost like you can stay in that spot forever enjoying your wine and cocktails chatting away at life’s moments.
OMG! I have this exact chandelier in my home kitchen! How funny is that.
Can you create this look?
Last night, we went to our neighbor’s home across the street for a fun filled backyard evening out. She hosted an amazing dinner for us. She made pizza from the BBQ grill and it was so delicious! I had never tried pizza off the grill before. I was so amazed how the crust turned out. It tasted like it was made from a wood fire clay oven. Also, what made it interesting for me was that the pizza had no sauce. After having several pieces, it was absolutely delicious!
From the front of the house, you would have never guessed how their backyard would look like so during our visit there, we finally were able to see their entire backyard. It was beautiful and serene. They had created a relaxing outdoor retreat with perfectly manicured landscaping and tons of natural stone from the patio floor to their fire pit. Now, I know why they never want to go anywhere else. Their vacation retreat is in their backyard.
We roasted marshmallows and made warm s’mores over the fire. What a great summer evening out with s’mores and wine.
Have you tried making pizza on the grill? With sauce or without?
I am still in pursuit to host a wonderful Fourth of July holiday dinner party. Yesterday, I started my planning by searching through my kitchen of all my dinner settings and realized that I had nothing of red or blue hues. What better way to celebrate this event with some red and blue colors so I thought “what in the bah gee gees to I do”. I came across this new blog (opposie, new to me) and I am so loving it. It has wonderful sharp images and it absolutely inspires glamorous! Some of course are so super glam that I may only be able to put them on my wish list. But, the looks are all so inspiring for creating.
I have a new obsession for table settings now!!
After seeing all those wonderful dinner table settings, I hope I can create an evening that feels something like above. It is totally the Ali look. Were you inspired? Are you ready to host your next dinner party?
This is just the beginning of my new obsession so stay connected. I will have many more fun announcements and new things to share with you.
Bring your stars and stripes. The 4th of July is almost here. Oh my how fast the days go by. I am having close friends and family over to celebrate that holiday. Last year we did a BBQ and outdoor evening out. This year I think I will try a dinner setting for indoors because it has been so smothering hot outside. Let’s start preparing.
